Excerpt from the Will of John B. Morris
Transcribed from Lincoln County, MO Will Book 3, page 134 and provided by Tina Mitchell, 2001 .

[Notes on the will by the transcriber:]

John B. MORRIS 1793-1872 was the son of Israel MORRIS sr. and Hannah BURDINE.  He married Frances Randal SIMMONS 24 Apr 1845 in Lincoln County MO.

Will of John B. MORRIS is located in Will Book 3, p.134.  Book is bound and is a very large book.  I was unable to photocopy actual will.  I've documented below what was left to heirs.

$30,000.00 dollar bond Frances MORRIS and Samuel T. EAST executors of estate.

NOTE:  I have to go back one day and clarify...my notes don't show anything being willed to wife, Frances, or Samuel T. East...I'm sure they were willed something.  What I do have notes on:

[Transcript from the will:]

I will to George MORRIS, son of my youngest brother, $300.00 cash.
I will to Lydia's children: Jacob SMITH, Mary, & Merry W. SMITH, $300.00 each.
I will to heirs of Polly CREASY, dec'd, $46.00 each.
I will to my brother Israel MORRIS (of IL), balance of my estate after all bills are paid, to be divided up equally among his ten children.
As to my brothers James, Jonah, and Henry MORRIS having got the estate of our father, I do not feel under any obligation to give them or their heirs anything.
