In the name of God amen. I Francis ANSON of the County of Lincoln in the State of Missouri being of sound mind and disposing memory and taking into consideration the certainty of death and the uncertainty of all terrestrial things, do constitute and ordain this instrument to be my last and the only will I ever made. It is my will that after my death that all my Just debts be punctually paid out of my personal property. It is my will that my real estate be divided among my beloved children as follows, to wit:— 1 I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Susan ANSON the south half of the west half of the northwest quarter of the south west quarter of Section 23 in Township No 49 Range 3 West. containing 20 acres. And 2d. I give also unto her the south half of the north west quarter of the south east quarter of Section 23 in Township No 49 Range 3 West. containing 20 acres. And I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Melvina PENNINGTON the north half of the west half of the north west quarter of the south west quarter of section No 23 in Township No 49 of Range 3 West containing 10 acres. And the north half of the north west quarter of the South East quarter in Section 23 in Township No 49 range 3 west containing 20 acres. And I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Nathaniel ANSON the north east quarter of the south east quarter of Section No 22 in Township 49 range No 3 west and the south west quarter of the south east quarter of Section No 11 in township 49 range 3 west ­ both tracts containing 40 acres each. And I give and bequeath unto my beloved children Elizabeth TAILER, Henry ANSON, Thomas ANSON, James ANSON, Francis ANSON, Washington ANSON, George ANSON & Sarah and Pleasant ANSON each five dollars, to be paid by my son Nathaniel ANSON to them. And it is my will that my beloved wife Susan ANSON have the use & benefit of the land & Premises herein willed to my son Nathaniel ANSON to use as her own during her natural life. And it is also my will wish & desire that my beloved wife in whom I repose full confidence be and I do hereby appoint her my lawful executrix, and my son Nathaniel ANSON my lawful executor to act with her in the matters and things of my estate. And it is also my will wish & desire that my Executrix and Executor in the Settlement & adjustment of my estate act independently of the Court. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal. Done in the presence of Joseph PENNINGTON George W. OWINGS this the 26th day of January Anno domini 1861
