Obituary for Mervin Young (d.1900)

Mervin YOUNG, well known throughout the southern part of the county, where he had lived all his life, died at the home of Jos. C. WILLIAMS, in Troy, August 1, 1900, after an illness which began last Saturday morning with a chill that left him unconcious; in which condition he remained up to the time of his death, except for a short time. Mr. YOUNG was born about 2 1/2 miles southeast of Troy and had three brothers and three sisters, all now dead but one brother, John M. who lives in Texas. Deceased was a bachelor and about 65 years old. Funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the home of Mr. WILLIAMS by Eld. Wm. Frazier, after which the remains were interred in the city cemetery.
