Dottie Lee STEPHENS, daughter of Dee McKay and Mary Jane STEPHENS, was born October 17, 1893, near Silex, Mo., and passed away at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, Sunday morning , May 19, 1946 at 7:15, at the age of 52 years, 7 months and 2 days.
On April 14, 1914, she united with the Presbyterian Church of Silex. She was married to Albert Edward WALTON, April 24, 1910, and to this union two children were born, one dying in infancy, and Woodrow at the home. She leaves to mourn her passing: a devoted husband and son; two brothers, Arthur, of Eolia, and Walter of Silex; two sisters, Mrs. John SULLIVAN of Silex, Mrs. Tessie DELONEY, of Louisiana. One sister, Mrs. Luella HUDSON, preceded her in death November 15, 1940. She also leaves two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law and fourteen nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
She was a very dear wife and loving mother. She won many friends by her pleasing personality and sincere kindness. Was always willing to help her neighbors in time of need.
