Funeral services for Dolores TWELLMANN, of Troy, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997, at the Christian Community Center in Troy. Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery.
Mrs. TWELLMANN, 76, began her new life with her Heavenly Father on Monday, Sept. 22, 1997, at her home.
The daughter of John and Carrie (BREWER) BIERMANN, she was born March 19, 1921, in St. Louis. On Feb. 18, 1950, she married Joe Ed TWELLMANN, who preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1993.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Janet LUCCHESI and Sandra BIERMANN and one brother, Henry BIERMANN.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen WALKENHORST and husband, William, of Troy; three grandchildren, Jenni WALKENHORST of Springfield and Jeffery and Jeremy WALKENHORST of Troy; one sister, Carole WAHLBRINK and husband, Ray, of Louisville, Ky.; three brothers, Milton BIERMANN and his wife, Marion, of Springfield, Clifford BIERMANN and wife, Trudi and Larry BIERMANN, all of St. Louis; one aunt Abby HILL; one sister-in-law, Eunice BIERMANN, of Feldon, Ill. and one brother-in-law, Jerry LUCCHESI, of Columbia.
Mrs. TWELLMANN grew up in St. Louis and moved to Lincoln County in 1974. She was a member of the Christian Community Center in Troy.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established to the Christian Center Academy. Donations may be left or mailed to Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home, P.O. Box 222, Troy, MO 63379.
