The produce that was left over, Jean canned so they would have vegetables during the winter. Quilting, cooking and working with flowers were some of the things that Jean enjoyed. The collections that Jean had were always a topic of conversation when people came out to the house. Jean collected angels, teapots, bells and had dishes from all the states that friends had brought back for her.
Jean had such a kind heart that she would fix meals for the hobos that would ride the rails years ago.
A member of Moscow Mills Christian Church, Jean attended regularly when her health permitted.
The Twellmans became foster parents in the 1980s and especially enjoyed the time spent with their grandchildren.
