Obituary for Omer Hayden Turnbull

OBITUARY
Omer Hayden TURNBULL was born near Troy, Mo., May 30, 1899, the son of Richard and Mary Lee LARUE TURNBULL . He passed away in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy, Mo., Tuesday evening , October 21, 1975, at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 21 days.
He received his education in the Hill rural school near Troy and the Buchanan High School in Troy.
He first worked for the Khune Mercantile Co. and when he was 19, he became a salesman for the American Agriculture Chemical Co. He continued in their employ until retirement.
On May 28,1928 he was married to the former Lucille CARTER. Two children, a daughter and son were born to this union. His wife, Lucille, died October 14, 1954. On July 14, 1957, he was married to the former Miss Mary COTTLE who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Dorothy D., and son Harold L. and his wife Elsie May; his four grandchildren; Dennis Dale, Harold Carter, David Alan, and Marcy Lynn TURNBULL, all of Troy; one brother Archie TURNBULL of Winfield, 4 nephews, two nieces, several Cousins, other relatives and innumerable friends.
Mr. TURNBULL was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy where he was also a deacon......... .............. A very close personal friend, Rev. Robert Turner of South Coffeeville, Oklahoma, conducted the service at Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, October 23rd, 1975. He was assisted by two of Mr. TURNBULL's nephews, the Rev. Richard TURNBULL and Rev. Shelby TURNBULL. The Rev. Shelby TURNBULL was also the soloist and sang "Beyond The Sunset" and "In the Garden". Mrs. David Rayfield was the organist.
Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery. Casket bearers were all members of the Masonic Lodge and were Henry Arnett, Eugene Thurmon, Haines Moore, Geoge Penrod, Hayden Foster, and Callie Teasley.
