Obituary for Clara Anna Sievert (1895-1982)

Clara Anna SIEVERT was born March 16, 1895 at Wright City, Mo., the daughter of Orlando and Augusta Frances DOBSCH SCHMIDT. She passed away in St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, Mo., Friday morning, March 5, 1982 at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 14 days.
On August 8, 1917, she was united in marriage to Fredrick Christopher SIEVERT. One son and two daughters were born to this couple.
Mrs. SIEVERT was preceded in death by her husband who passed away Nov. 4, 1969, one son, Howard SIEVERT who passed away Feb. 28, 1980, and one granddaughter, Diane BOLLE who passed away Feb 17, 1953.
Surviving Mrs. SIEVERT are her daughters, Helen and her husband, Bernard ZUROWESTE of St. Charles and Mildred and her husband, Marvin BUENEMAN of Troy, her son Howards wife, Betty SIEVERT of Wentzville, 11 grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, 17 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary KUHNE of Troy, other relatives and innumerable friends.
Mrs. SIEVERT was baptized in infancy in the Wright City E&R Church. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ for over 50 years, and was a member of the Womens Guild.
After her husbands death, Mrs. SIEVERT remained on their farm until about two years ago, when she sold the farm and moved to Troy.
Mrs. SIEVERT was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister. She was a good neighbor and lived a Christian life.
Funeral Services for Mrs. SIEVERT were held from Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills. Conducting the services were the pastors, the Rev. Al Minor and the Rev. Reva Minor. Mrs. Janice CRAGEN, step-granddaughter, was the organist.
Interment was in the Friedens Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Casket bearers were Bob ZUROWESTE, Jim ZUROWESTE, Ronnie ZUROWESTE, Roger BOLLE, Keith SCHNARRE and Gerald CARTER.
Arrangements were made through the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home of Troy.
