Rites Held For Ralph J. Sheets
Rites for Ralph Joseph Sheets, 73, of Elsberry were held June 10 in Carter-Ricks Funeral Home. The Rev. George Hoech, pastor of the Winfield Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Zion Cemetery at Truxton.
Mr. Sheets died June 8, 1982 in Lincoln County, Memorial Hospital, Troy. Born September 18, 1908 in Lincoln County, he was the son of Benjamin F. and Charlotte Witthaus Sheets. On August 4, 1929 he was married to Bessie Sheets in Troy, who survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Joyce Sheddrick and her husband, Wayne Sheddrick of Bates City.
Mr. Sheets retired from the railroad in 1973 and was a member of the Elsberry Methodist Church. He had been a resident of Elsberry since 1951.
