Obituary for Estell Segrass (Mrs. Howard Barnes)
(1889-1922)MRS. HOWARD BARNES
Estell SEGRASS, daughter of W. H. and Lucy E. SEGRASS, was born July 15, 1889, and died December 31, 1922.
Her mother died when she was about nine years old. After that time she made her home with the family of Richard TURNBULL, until her marriage. When fourteen years of age she was converted and united with the Harmony Grove Baptist Church, where her membership remained until her death.
She was married to Howard BARNES August 7, 1910. To this union five children were born as follows: Lucy May, Harold, Frank, Delmar and Wilford.
Besides her husband and children, her father, step-mother, two sisters, one brother, and one half-sister remain to mourn her loss, as well as a host of distant relatives and friends.
She has been in poor health for a number of years and for the past year has been an invalid. A few weeks ago she was removed to the home of her father in Moscow where she died.
The funeral was held at the Methodist Church at old Alexandria and burial in the adjacent cemetery. Rev. J. F. Breen officiated. [note. This might be a mistake perhaps Green?? jg]
