Obituary for Mrs. Virginia F. Russell (1831-1899)

DIED
RUSSELL, At the home of her son, Wm. R. RUSSELL, near Hawk Point, Jan.19, 1899, Mrs. Virginia F. RUSSELL,from paralysis, aged 67 years and 9 months. Mrs. RUSSELL's maiden name was MASON, and she was born April 20, 1831, in St. Charles county. She was married in October 1858, and with her husband moved to Lincoln county October 10, 1876. To their union were born three children, one dying in infancy, and the other two, Wm R. and John M. living in this county. She joined the Christian Church in 1863, under the ministry of the late Elder D. M. Granfield, and ever lived consistant to her profession. She was stricken with paralysis on the 19th of December last, and never rallied from the stroke, though she lingered a month. The remains were interred at Hickory Grove Church, in Warren County, a brief service of song and prayer being held at the grave in the presence of many sorrowing relatives and friends.
