Horace Rose, for several years past school commissioner of this county, died at his home near Winfield, on Saturday afternoon last, July 18th, in his fifty-second year, after an illness of several weeks from paralysis. Mr. Rose was an excellent gentleman and citizen, whose loss will be long felt not only by his family and most intimate friends, but by they entire county througout which he was well known and universally esteemed. His remains were interred at Millwood on Sunday afternoon. Peace to his ashes.
