Elsberry March 10, 1916-May 28, 2005
ELSBERRY - O'Garlan C. RICKS, 89, of Elsberry, who founded Ricks Funeral homes in Elsberry and Winfield, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Elsberry United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Elsberry City Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield and will continue from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
Mr. Ricks was born March 10, 1916, in Argentville to Albert Lee and Estelle Mary VINYARD RICKS.
He married Kathryn Grace TRESCOTT, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Allen RICKS of Manchester and Chris RICKS of Jefferson City; one daughter, Carol RICKS of Elsberry; two grandchildren, Andrea Louise RICKS and Christian Trescott (Scott) RICKS II; and one brother, Orval RICKS of St. Charles.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Nathan RICKS; and two sisters, Beatrice EAST and Wilma (Billie) DAILEY.
Mr. RICKS was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
