Obituary for Jane Alice Raney (1854-1951)

Jane Alice RANEY, daughter of Felix RANEY and Hannah MORRIS RANEY was born November 14, 1854 near Troy, Missouri and departed this life for life eternal Saturday, October 20, 1951 at her home in Briscoe, Missouri at the age of 96 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

She spent her entire life in Lincoln County, having lived the past 48 years in Briscoe, Mo.. She was one of thirteen children, all have preceded her in death except one sister, Miss Belle RANEY, with whom she lived in the home and who so tenderly cared for her throughout the years. Aunt Alice as she was known to everyone has been blind since the age of one year. Early in life she confessed her faith in Christ.

Even in her affliction she had a brilliant mind and was a Bible Student always professing her faith until the end.
