Judy Privett

 

Judy Privett, 51, of Silex died Monday, June 17,

2002, at her home.

 

Funeral services will be held at l0 a.m. Wednesday

at the Silex Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ron

Hasselrode officiating.  Burial will be in the Carson

Hill Cemetery in Piedmont.

 

She was born June 26, 1950 in St. Louis, the daughter

of August and Alice Schnarr Devoto.  On June 12, 1970,

in Silex, she married Charles Privett Jr.  He survives.

 

Also surviving are one daughter, Julie Ann Privett of

Silex; four brothers, August DeVoto of St. Louis, Richard

DeVoto, Cedar Hill, Robert DeVoto of Millwood and

Donald DeVoto of Troy; two sisters, Mary Alice Barrett at

Sanford, N.C., and Barbara Ann Medina, House Springs;

father and mother-in-law, Charles and Joan Privett; brother

and sister-in-law, Kevin and Nancy Privett; nieces and

nephews; two foster Brothers, Bob Miller of Bowling Green

and Donnie Miller of Silex; five foster sisters, Eska Wink

of the state of Maine, Carol Zeiss and Jane Quade, both of

Silex, Jodi Dillman, St. Charles and Jackie Monroe of

Hawk Point.  Preceding her in death were her parents and

her foster parents, Ed and Mary Miller.

 

Mrs. Privett lived in the Silex area most of her life.  She

was an active member of the Silex Presbyterian Church. 

She loved gardening, fishing and camping.

 

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at the

Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Silex.

 

Serving as pallbearers are Lloy Quade, Donnie Miller,

Mike Jennings, Gary Hilterbrand, Lupe Medina and

James Ballard.

 

Memorials may be made to American Heartland Hospice,

American Cancer Society or the Julie Privett Educational Fund.
