Funeral Rites Saturday For Arthur POLLMAN 72
Arthur J. POLLMAN, 72, Troy, passed away in the St. Luke's Hospital West, Chesterfield, early Thursday morning.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Silex Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. Ed Craft., Interment will be in the Troy City Cemetery.
Mr. POLLMAN was born in St. Louis, March 21, 1905, the son of Frederick C. and Annie Marie BENNER POLLMAN. On June 3, 1939 he was married to Miss Floreine BROWN of Troy. Four children were born to this union. The family lived on a farm near Silex for 25 years. Several years ago, Mr and Mrs. POLLMAN built a home in Troy where they have since lived.
Surviving Mr. POLLMAN are his wife Floreine of their residence; two daughters: Mrs. Bill (Barbara) PEASEL of Silex, and Mrs. John (Janet) CREECH of Florissant; two sons, Stanley of Silex and Rick of Kansas City, Mo., six grandchildren, one brother, Gene POLLMAN of St. Louis, a number of nieces and nephews, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, other relatives and many friends.
Mr. POLLMAN was a member of the Silex Presbyterian Church and was an Elder of that church. He was a member of the Silex Masonic Lodge, AF & AM No. 75 and of the Eastern Star No. 80. For many years Mr. POLLMAN was active in the National Farmers' Organization. He helped organize in the states of Missouri and Ohio, and he served as president of the North East District, Mo. NFO.
Masonic sevices will be held Friday evening at the Kemper Marsh Funeral home in Troy, conducted by the Silex Lodge. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon until 11 a.m. Saturday, when Mr. POLLMAN will be taken to the Silex Presbyterian Church to lie in state from 12 noon until time of services.
