Obituary for Jessie Pollard (1831-1913)

Mr. Jessie POLLARD, an old resident of the Galilee neighborhood, died Monday evening,
February 18, 1913. He had been ailing for about two years, but the immediate cause of
death was blood poisoning, caused by a sore on his foot.
Mr. POLLARD, a lifelong resident of Lincoln, was born November 30, 1831 to William L.
POLLARD and Elizabeth WALTON. He was married first to Fanny Ealum POLLARD, who predeceased
him January 12 1892. They had nine children, and the four surviving children, William
"Bud", Walter S, Clinton, and Jessie Thomas attended the funeral along with his
present wife, Mrs. Alabama POLLARD.
Mr. POLLARD was a good citizen, well liked by all who knew him and his many relatives and
friends throughout Lincoln county are grieved to learn of his death. Services were
conducted by Rev. M. D. DUDLEY Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the remains were
interred in the New Galilee cemetery.
