            Funeral services for Lavonna “Bonnie” Mae WESTERMAN PARRISH, Springfield, Mo., were held at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, in South Haven Baptist Church, Springfield, with the Rev. Paul Swadley officiating.  A second service was held at 2:30 p.m., Jan. 4 in Bellflower Methodist Church, Bellflower, Mo., with the Rev. Paul Swadley and the Rev. Leo Shumaker officiating.  Graveside services followed at 4:15 p.m., in the Olney Cemetery, Olney, Mo., with the Rev. Paul Swadley and the Rev. Michael Jones officiating under the direction of Walnut Lawn DeGraffenreid-Wood Funeral Home, Springfield.

            Mrs. PARRISH, 60, died Dec. 29, 2000, following an auto accident.  She was born Aug. 7, 1940, in Moscow Mills, to Herbert Ernest WESTERMAN, who preceded her in death in December 1987 and Mary Amanda WEITKAMP WESTERMAN, who survives of Bellflower. 

            She is also survived by her husband, Joseph “Joe” PARRISH, of the home and their four sons and their wives, Terry Von and Sheryl Ann PARRISH, Larry Charles PARRISH, Garry Ernest and Patricia “Patty” Ann PARRISH and Joseph “Joe” Carl and Traci Gere PARRISH; one brother and eight sisters, Fern and F.C. PARRISH, Nevada, Iowa; Eileen and Dean BAXTER, Columbia, Mo.; Richard WESTERMAN, Bellflower; Faye and Don COPE, Columbia; Patricia and Marvin MOORE, Washington, Mo.; Peggy and Chuck HAWKINS, Franklin, Tenn.; Paula WOHLBERG, Wellsville, Mo.; Rachel and Donnie VINCENT, Herman; and Reba MURRAY, St. Peters; five grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

            Visitation was held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Haven Baptist Church HUG Fund, Gideon’s International Bible Association or your favorite charity.
