Obituary for Betty Lee Mills (1922-1981)

Mrs. Betty Lee MILLS of Troy, passed away Monday morning December 21, 1981, in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy, Mo. She was 59 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at 3 oclock Wednesday afternoon, December 23, from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy. An Eastern Star service will be held immediately following the funeral service. Interment will be in the Troy City Cemetery.
Mrs. MILLS was born in St. Louis, Mo., August 3, 1922, the daughter of John William and Edna Louise BURTON BIBB. She was married December 18, 1954 to Thomas A. MILLS, and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters: Mrs. Robert (Carol) WEBB of Troy and Mrs. Ernest (Diana) SANDERS of Hannibal; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Barbara COOPER of Troy; two brothers: Harris BIBB of Hazelwood and John William BIBB Jr. of Reno, Nevada; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. MILLS was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy, and of the Troy Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, No. 405, of which she had served as Worthy Matron. She had also held several other offices in the lodge. She had served as president of the Builders of Tomorrow Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church.
She was employed as an inspector for quality at Monsanto Chemical Co.
Visitation continues at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon until the time of services.
