Obituary for Mary L. Miller (1914-1991)

Servies for Mary Louise Miller, 7, Silex, Mo., were held at 10 a.m.
Aug. 12 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood, Mo.
The Rev. Gerald Curtin officiated and burial was in the
St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller died Aug. 9, 1991, at the Lincoln County Memorial
Hospital in Troy, Mo.
Born June 9, 1914, in Iberia, she was the daughter of Selby John
and Samanthia Josephone Mace Heltzell.
She was married to Edward Miller Feb. 22, 1941 in
St. Charles, Mo. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Bob Miller of Bowling Green, Mo.,
and Donald S. Miller of Silex; five daughters; Eska Wink of
Gray, Maine, Carol Zeiss of Silex, Mary Jane Quade of Silex,
Nancy Jo Dillman of St. Charles and Jackie Monroe of Hawk Point, Mo;
one sister Eska Fendorf of St. Louis, Mo; 10 grandchildren and
numerous nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Also surviving are three foster children; Don Ellinger, Barbara
Medina and Judy Privett.
Preceding Mrs. Miller in death were three brothers; John Heltzell
and George Heltzell and one brother who died in infancy; one sister
Edna Davison and two grandchildren Sarah Jane Quade and Chase
Steven Myers.
Mrs. Miller graduated from Iberia High School and attended
Iberia Junior College. She also attended the Universithy of
Missouri at Columbia.
She lived in Lincoln and Pike counties all of her married life.
She taught school in several places including Buckner Holler,
Indian Creek, Robinson School, Lewisville and in the Silex
School District.
She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church,
the Sacred Heart Sewing Club and the Scopic Club.
Pallbearers were Al Zureweste, Bernard Grothaus,Ed Kientzy,
Dick Kientzy, John Miller, Mike Chandler and Justin Miller,
Zachary Miller was an honorary pallbearer.
The Mudd-Veach Funeral Home of Silex was in charge of
the arrangements.
