Mrs. Maude METCALF of Route 1, Troy, Mo. passed away Feb. 18, 1979 at the age of 86. Mrs. METCALF was born Feb. 10, 1893, the daughter of William H. HARPER and Fanny BENNETT HARPER in Lead, South Dakota. Mrs. METCALF was preceded in death by her husband, David B. METCALF.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clara BRUNING of Troy; one son, Theodore (Buddy) METCALF of Sacramento, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. METCALF was instate at the Nieburg-Brown Funeral Home in Wright City after 2:30 p.m. Feb. 20. Funeral services were held Feb. 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nieburg-Brown Chapel, Rev. Victor SCHROEDER officiating. Burial was in the Wright City Cemetery.
