Obituary for Ermal McMahan (1904-1985)

Funeral services for Mrs. Ermal W. McMAHAN of Troy, Mo., were held at 2 oclock Monday afternoon, July 22, 1985, from the St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Troy. Conducting the service was the church pastor, the Rev. Mary Ellen Meyer. Mrs. Russell Pavelka was the organist. Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Harold McMAHAN, Darryl McMAHAN, Gary HOFFMANN, Dan PEASEL, Shelby HUMPHREY and Clarence SIMMONS.
Mrs. McMAHAN passed away in Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy, Friday evening, July 19, at the age of 80 years.
She was born in Lincoln County, Mo., September 24, 1904, the daughter of Walter and Eleanota LUCKETT WATTS. She was married June 27, 1925 to Stanley McMAHAN and he survives. She is also survived by one stepson, Melvin S. McMAHAN of San Raphael, Ca., six step-granddaughters, several step-great-grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy WATTS of Troy; three sisters. Thelma LIONBERGER of Columbia, Mo., Mrs. Robert (Lillian) BROWN of OFallon, Il., and Mrs. Ansel (Ruth) EVANS, of Troy, other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. McMAHAN was a member of the St. Stephen United Methodist Church of Troy.
A number of years ago she was employed by Kuhne Bros. Mercantile Co. of Troy. Later she worked for Missouri Edison Power Co. in Troy and retired from that position.
Visitation for Mrs. McMAHAN was at the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy.
Memorials may be made to St. Stephen United Methodist Church.
