Uncited clipping. Believed to be from Troy newspaper.
From the collection of Mary O. Walker Hutt.
Robert Lewis MARTIN son of (missing ) and Mattie MARTIN was born in Tu---, Cal. Oct. 1,
1900, and died at home near Linns Mill, Mo. Oct. 31, 1906.
His funeral was preached by Rev. Kneuhaus, after which his body was borne to the Harvey graveyard.
Little Robert had just entered school and promised to become a bright pupil. He was in
school Tues. and wanted to go Weds. but his mother thought it best to keep him home, as
his shoe had rubbed his heel and caused a sore. Thurs, he had a fever and Fri., a
convulsion from which time he suffered untold misery until the following Weds. when death
claimed him.
He was the oldest boy in the family, there being an older sister, and two younger
brothers.----------J
(* I checked all the Harvey Cems. in Lin. Co books cannot find a tombstone for him, j.g.)
