RICHARD B. HUTT DIES. Passes Away at Home, Near Troy, Last Friday, March 19 [1926]. The subject of this sketch, Richard B. HUTT, was born about two miles northeast of Troy, Lincoln county, Missouri, March 14, 1850. On December 13, 1883, he was united in marriage to Jennie Lee McKAY of Troy. To their union were born four children, three sons and one daughter whose names, in the order of their age, are as follows: Willie M. HUTT, Gene O. C. HUTT (who died in infancy), Oscar Lee HUTT (whose body was laid to rest about one year ago) and Mary O. HUTT, who has faithfully aided in the care of her father through his declining years. Mr. HUTT was a Christian man with many friends and few enemies. He was kind to every one and was very fond of children. He loved to play with them and amuse them. About four years ago his health began to fail. He gradually grew weaker and about the middle of February was confined to his bed and on March 19 at 3:13 am his spirit said goodbye to the tenement of clay, to make its abode in the "house of many mansions". His funeral was conducted by the writer in the Christian church at Troy March 20, 1926 at 1 oclock p.m. after which the body was laid to rest in the Troy cemetery. He leaves a brother, T. W. HUTT of Troy, a sister, Mrs. C. J. MARTIN of Tulare, Cal., his devoted wife, two children, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren with other relatives and man friends who will kindly cherish his memory. For this brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend, let there not be grief. His spirit has exchanged the earthly for the Heavenly abiding place. He is now free from pain, disease and death. His spirit has reached its goal. Each of you are pilgrims here, may your journey be so true to lifes straight and narrow way that you may finally reach the heights and receive the loved ones welcome into the Fathers house above. - L. B. Coggins
