JAMES M HUSTON
James M HUSTON was born in Tennessee July 25th, 1830 and died May 24th, 1918, being 87 years, 9 months and 29 days old. He came to Missouri when three years of age. He was married to Elizabeth PARKE April 16th, 1851. To the union were born seven children three boys and four girls: James W, Wiley, Perry Tom, Sarah Ann, Nancy E., Annie E., and Maggie E. His wife and two daughters, Sarah and Nancy E. preceded him to the grave several years ago. He united with the Christian church at Old Sulphur Lick under the preaching of Rev. Timothy Ford, about the year 1873. He moved his membership to Old Alexandria in 1885, where he remained until the Christian church was organized at Davis,in which place he was a member when he died. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren survive him. Funeral services were Saturday, May 25, at Old Alexandria in the presence of a large assemblage of people by Rev. M.D. Dudley. "Uncle Jimmy" HUSTON was good man, a true friend, a noble citizen. The editor of this paper knew him nearly forty years and will always cherish his memory and recall with pleasure his friendship.
