Obituary for Raymond Nichols Humphrey (1905-1978)

Raymond Nichols HUMPHREY was the son of Hugh W. HUMPHREY and Daisy BLANKS HUMPHREY. He was born April 24, 1905 at Clarksville, Texas and died August 19, 1978 at Casper, Wyoming at the age of 73 years.
He was united in marriage December 19, 1929 to Nellie K. WILSON who preceded him in death February 25, 1972. They had two children and six grandchildren.
He spent most of his life in and around Moscow Mills, spending the last twenty years or so on a farm south of Moscow Mills.
Surviving are his son, Donald Dean, of St. Louis and daughter, Rita J. BOOTH, of Sheridan, Wyoming and their spouses (Jane HUMPHREY and Jack BOOTH). Also surviving are a sister, Elsie HUMPHREY, of Glendale, California; a brother, Delma HUMPHREY of Moscow Mills and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Othella HUMPHREY of Silex, Mo. His grandchildren are David, Mark, and Jill BOOTH of Sheridan, Wyoming and Dean, Jim, and Robby HUMPHREY of St. Louis. He also leaves in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Harry WILSON, of Oak Grove, Mo. and Mr. and Mrs. Bob WILSON, of Troy, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at McCoy-Paul Funeral Home in Troy, August 23 with burial in Sulphur Lick Cemetery in Lincoln County, Missouri. Rev. Thomas Sanders officiated.
Pallbearers were Bob WILSON, William KLEIN, Victor HARRELL, C.O. ANDERSON Jr., Derwood RINAMAN and John HUMPHREY. Mrs. Janet Stewart was the organist and Mrs. Barbara Lampley the vocalist.
