Charles GROSHONG Dies
The sudden death of Charles William GROSHONG will leave a sore spot in the hearts of many
friends. He was a member of one of our oldest families, who helped in building what is now
Lincoln County.
Born of the union of C.K. GROSHONG and Addie COTTLE, December 27, 1881, on a farm near
Moscow Mills.
On March 2, 1904, Mr. GROSHONG married Lulu MOORE and to them was born a son, Walter C.
GROSHONG, who is now a government engineer in charge of work on the navigation lock on the
Mississippi at Winfield, Mo.
The deceased was related to many of our Lincoln County families and was known and loved by
all.
He leaves to mourn his absence in his immediate family, his wife, Lulu MOORE GROSHONG, a
son, Walter C., a grandson, Duey, and his brother Jess GROSHONG, also a sister, Mrs.
Maggie WEILIGMAN.
Mr. GROSHONG joined the Presbyterian Church during the ministry of Rev. Birch. Funeral
Services were held in the home on June 12 conducted by Rev. O. A. Gordon, assisted by the
Rev. J. R. Benika, Burial in the city cemetery of Troy, was attended by a large number of
sorrowing friends.
