OLNEYServices for Edward Graves Jr., 55 of Webster Groves and formerly of Olney, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Olney Baptist Church. The Rev. John Porter will officiate and burial will be in the Olney Cemetery where military rites will be conducted.
Mr. Graves died Saturday in a St. Louis hospital. He was born May 26, 1919, in Lincoln County to Cyrus Edward and Myrtle Damron Graves. He was married to Betty Sanderson March 3, 1946, and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Randall Graves and Jack Graves, both of Webster Groves; his mother, Myrtle Graves, Silex; two brothers, Paul Graves, Middletown and Reginald Graves, Anaheim, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Marjorie) Patton, Silex, Mrs. C. H. (Melba) Caldwell, Middletown, and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Magruder, Whiteside.
Mr. Graves was a construction worker and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Visitation is continuing at Mudd Funeral Home at Silex.
Pallbearers will be Randall Patton, Harry Patton, Frank Magruder, Curtis Graves, Philip Caldwell and Richard Morris.
