Obituary for Edwin Frederick Gerdiman
(1902-1975)Edwin Frederick GERDIMAN was born at Moscow Mills, Missouri, June 2, 1902, the son of the late William GERDIMAN and his wife, Anna (nee WEITKAMP). He departed this earthly life August 12, 1975 at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 10 days.
He was baptized in infancy at Friedens Evangelical Church, Moscow Mills and on April 1, 1917 he received the rite of Confirmation in Emanuel Evangelical Church of Weldon Springs, Missouri.
In 1929 he was united in marriage to Mary WATTS who preceded him in death on December 19, 1967.
Edwin was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, Schluersburg, Missouri, and a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Those who survive are one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth BUENGER of St. Charles, Mo., a brother Gus of Defiance, Mo., a sister-in-law, Mrs. William GERDIMAN, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers George, John, Ben and William; and sisters, Emma GERDIMAN and Mrs. Clara BERTHOLD.
For the past 11 months he was a resident of the Pogue Nursing Home in Wentzville, Mo. where he expired.
Services were held Thursday, August 14, 1975 at the Bethany United Church of Christ, Schluersburg with interment in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews: Carl GERDIMAN, Clarence GERDIMAN, John William GERDIMAN, Willis GERDIMAN, Frederick GERDIMAN and Cletus BRASSEL.
