Obituary for Lizzie Genzling (1893-1985)

Mrs Lizzie Caroline GENZLING of Moscow Mills passed away Tuesday evening, May 7, 1985 at the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy. She had attained the age of 91 years, nine months, and ten days.
Mrs. GENZLING was born July 27, 1893 in Moscow Mills, a daughter of John F. and Wilhelmine (RAHMEIER) MEYER. She was baptized as a child and confirmed in the Friedens United Church of Christ on April 1, 1907. Her confirmation verse was Ephesians 4:15, "But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ."
On December 8, 1914 she was united in marriage to Joseph GENZLING. To this union three children were born, Clara, Marie and Paul.
She was a life-long resident of Lincoln County and lived in her own home in Moscow Mills until about one and half years ago, due to declining health, she moved to the Medicalodge in Troy.
Mrs. GENZLING is survived by two daughters, Clara and her husband, Fred VOEPEL of Troy, Marie and her husband, Roy McNEALY of Moscow Mills, one son, Paul and his wife, Evelyn GENZLING of Moscow Mills, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one sister, Minnie JUSTUS, three brothers, Henry, William, and Ernie MEYER.
Mrs. GENZLING was a good Christian living her convictions daily. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her devoted family, neighbors, and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 oclock, Friday afternoon, from the Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills. Officiating the service was Rev. Allen MINOR. The soloist was Rev. Robert F. HICKS singing "How Great Thou Art" and "Abide With Me". Accompanying him on organ was Mrs. Mary Margaret MEYER.
Interment was in the Friedens Cemetery in Moscow Mills. Casketbearers were V. (?) APRIL, Tom APRIL, Marvin COX, Larry McNEALY, Jim SUCHLAND, and Norman VOEPEL.
McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
