Uncited clipping.
From the papers of Mary Omahundro Hutt Walker

Mrs. Lau----- M. FISHER, died a---- 20 minutes to 12 o'clock p.m. --20th of July 1895, aged forty-four years and one day. She was born in Alleghaney City, Penn. and came with her father's family to this county in about 1853. She was the daughter of L.O.C. and Margaret NICKLIN. Both father and mother long ago preceeded her to their immortal home. She was one of ten children, all of whom are now sleeping in the city of the dead but two sisters, Mrs. M. A. NICKLIN of Columbia and Mrs. R. M. BRIDFORD of Hannibal.

She was married to Thomas M. FISHER August 30, 1868; to that union there were born six children, three daughters and three sons. Their oldest daughter, Irene, when just budding into sweet womanhood, went to dwell with the blessed Master forevermore; her husband, five children, two sisters, her aged mother-in-law, Grandma NELSON, and many other relatives survive her.

Sister FISHER came from very religious families on both sides and she united with the Christian church at New Hope when she was about thirteen years of age .... ---------She was an obliging, kind, and sympathetic neighbor and was held in high esteem by all who knew her, as was most plainly manifested when at 4 o'clock p.m., Sunday last, the casket containing her remains reached the Christian church, the large auditorium was almost full of sorrowing friends and neighbors.................The services were opened in a very impressive manner by Elder Reed of Canton, who read the lesson and led the audience in prayer............The remains were followed to their charnel house by a large procession of sorrowing friends, and as a tribute of love her grave was covered with beautiful flowers. Here death comes and steals away from us our best lovedones. "But in heaven there is no night of death . No crepe hangs on the door knob of the mansions of "bliss"...........bereaved husband ....... sisters........
