FIELDER----Sister Ella FIELDER, wife of H. H. FIELDER, was born May 6, 1869, near Old Alexandria, Mo., and died Mar. 3, 1904, at her home where she was born and raised. She had been an invalid for several months and knew the end of life was near, yet she was patient and unmurmuring to the last. She made all necessary arrangements for her departure, and her lamp trimmed and burning and was fully prepared to go.
When quite young she was converted and joined the Methodist Church and lived a beautiful Christian life until the death angel took her home. Sister FIELDER was loved by all who knew her. She was devoted to her husband and children, and made home sweet by her presence. We extend our deepest sympathy to the sorrowing husband and children, also the parents, brothers and sisters of Sister FIELDER and pray God's mercies to ever be with them. And while the vacant chair can never be filled and the gentle voice of mother heard again, yet there is one sweet consolation---where she is now, we may go sometime, and rejoice with a joy unspeakable and full of glory. Her funeral was preached at Old Alexandria Friday afternoon to a large and weeping congregation, and her remains laid away in the family cemetery to await the resurrection morn. R.W. Howerton
[Transcriber's Notes:
The family cemetery? Perhaps later buried in the church cem as I have her census as buried in the Old Alexandria Cem.
