Former Resident Dies In California

Hilda SHIELDS FELTER of San Diego, California, formerly of Troy, Mo., passed away on Memorial Day Feb. 11, 1983, in San Diego. Memorial services were held in California.

Mrs. FELTER was born in 1900, the daughter of Mahlon and Luda SHIELDS of Lincoln County. In 1919 she was married to Walter FELTER, now deceased.

Surviving are two children, John G. FELTER of Arizona and Mrs. Marian MIX of New Jersey; and two grandsons of California. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Hester WILSON (twin) of Troy, Mrs. Ethlyn ILLIAN of Arizona, Mrs. Eileen RENFROW of Branson, Mo. and Mrs. Vernon BABCOCK of Troy, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Two brothers, James T. SHIELDS and Emery SHIELDS preceeded her in death.
