Troy Free Press, 5 April 1901, page 7, column 3:

The death angel has called away one of our dear little boys, Gussie DUNARD, aged six years; he had been sick about two weeks with pneumonia. His remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground Wednesday. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family.

Troy Free Press, 5 April 1901, page 8, column 3:

Little Gussie DUNARD's spirit took its flight heavenward Monday night, March 24. Gussie was the little five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. DUNARD, of Big Creek. He had been sick quite a while with pneumonia and was thought to be almost well when he took a relapse that caused his death. He was an exceptionally bright little fellow and attended the district school, missing only a very few days for one so young. Both teacher and pupils loved little Gussie. Weep not, fond parents, but prepare to meet him in heaven, where partings never come.
