Mrs. Levi DUFF died at her home about two miles SE of Troy, at 12:30 last Monday morning at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 1 day. Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday morning and the interment took place at Troy Cemetery.

Mrs. DUFF's maiden name was Sallie LOVELL. She was born at Halifax, Pyttsyvania County 4 Dec. 1829, and two years later came to Lincoln Co. Mo with her parents, making this county her home with the exception of a year her family spent in Virginia in 1835. She was married 19 Oct. 1853, to Levi DUFF, her senior by just 7 years, he having been born 4 Dec. 1822. Three children blessed this union-- Arthur F., Daisie, wife of Shapleigh JENKINS, and Everett, the latter being born in 1862.

Mrs. DUFF united with the Christian Church in 1868 and there after lived a consistant life as a member of the Troy congregation, being active in all Church work until the infirmities of age came upon her. She was the eldest of a family of ten children, the only surviving now being her sister, Mrs. G. A. HAMILTON, east of Troy.

The aged companion, her sister, her chldren and other relatives have the sympathy of many friends who loved and admired this excellent woman for her qualities of heart and mind...
