Obituary for Olive Dearing (1921-1997)

Olive W. DEARING, 76, of Berkley, Mich., for more than 50 years, died Monday, June 23, 1997, in William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Mich.

She was born April 26, 1921 in Moscow Mills, Mo.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Michael and Ellen (BUENEMAN) BECK; two sisters, Verlie BERGESCH and Lora MEYER; one brother, Orval BECK and her husband, the Rev. Birl DEARING, whom she married Sept. 1, 1946, in Madison, Ill.

She was a member of the Woodlawn Church of God and its’ Triple L’s senior group. She also enjoyed making afghans and quilts for her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Wave (Gerald) EVANS of Berkley, James (Monnie) of Aurora, Colo., Donald (Jacquie) of Howell, Ruth (Richard) HOENLE, of Novi, Steven (Diane) of Berkley, the Rev. Beth EMERY of Laurel, Md., Pauline (Michael) MACCHIARELLA of Royal Oak, step daughter Helen (Doyle) HELBLING of Cleveland, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many step grandchildren.

Relatives in this area include two nephews, Harold and Marion (Buddy) BERGESCH and three nieces, Lorraine GERDIMAN, Leona WINTER and Dolores WEITKAMP and many cousins.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 27, 1997, in Royal Oak, Mich., with burial in the White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy, Mich.
