Owen Dameron Dies; Rites Held Monday
Rites for Owen Taylor Dameron, 75, of Middletown were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Olney Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. John Porter, officiating assisted by the Rev. Alvin Tyler of Elsberry. Interment was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Elsberry. Visitations were made at the Mudd Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Mr. Dameron died Friday, February 3, 1978 at his home of an apparent heart attack. Born April 9, 1902 at New Hope, he was the son of James and Ida Davis Dameron. He was married on Dec 5, 1923 in Troy to Vecie Wells who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert Wayne Dameron of Silex, G. Dawson Dameron, Elsberry and Norman E. Dameron of Olney; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Graves, Silex, Mrs. Orval (Dorothy) Triplett, Mrs. Pauline Barnes and Mrs. Ethel Riffle all of Elsberry.
Mr. Dameron was a member and deacon of the Olney Baptist Church and was a semi-retired farmer.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Gregory, Sid Combs, Junior Mudd, Bill Hawkins, Bud Stroker and David Duvel.

BOWLING GREEN --- Services for Owen Dameron, 75, of Middletown, were held today at the Olney Baptist Church. The Rev. John Porter and Rev. Alvin Tyler were in charge. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Elsberry.
Mr. Dameron died Friday night at his home.
He was born April 9, 1902 at New Hope to James and Ida Davis Dameron. He was married December 5, 1923 at Troy to Vecie Wells. She survives.
