Mrs. Bertha CROUCH Dies
Mrs. Bertha Ann CROUCH, of Troy, died Thursday, June 9, at Deaconess Hospital, St. Louis, where she had been a patient for more than four months. She had been ill for about a year. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, June 12, at 2:00 o'clock at the Methodist Church in Troy, Rev. H. A. Lehwald conducting the service, assisted by Rev. R. R. Sturgis. Interment was made in Troy cemetery.
Mrs. CROUCH, who was the daughter of the late Alex and Matilda Ann McCAIN, was born at Linn's Mill on December 15, 1875, being 73 years, 5 months and 24 days of age at the time of her death. On November 23, 1905, she was married to Franklin Benjamin CROUCH, who preceeded her in death on February 5, 1922. Three children were born to this union---- Leroy Franklin and Clelland McCain, both of Troy, and one daughter, Edna Wyota, who died at the age of 15 months. Besides her sons, she leaves to mourn he passing: two daughters-in-law; four grandchildren; two brothers, Charles McCAIN , of St. Charles and Joe McCAIN of near Troy; one sister, Mrs. Guy WOMBLES, South Coffeeville, Okla., and a number of relatives and friends. Mrs. CROUCH was an active member of the Troy Methodist Church and a loyal member of the Troy Chapter, O.E.S.

While I found no census at the Troy City Cemetery, I do have a Crouch book written by Bertha's son, Leroy and it is stated that she is buried in Troy Cem as well as Franklin B. and Edna Wyota.
