OBITUARY

Allie Lee CREECH was born in Lincoln Co. Mo., Oct. 18, 1897, the son of Alex Scott and Etta Mae MORRIS CREECH. He passed away Wednesday evening, Nov. 16, 1977 in the Lincoln County Manor, Troy, Mo., at the age of 80 years, and 29 days.

On Dec. 24, 1918 he was united in marriage to Miss Flora Katherine SWINNEY. They became the parents of two children.

Preceeding Mr. CREECH in death; were his wife, who passed away April 29, 1969; one sister, Rose CREECH, and five brothers: Mack, Henry, Lawrence, Emmett and Edgar CREECH. He is survived by his son Hilary and wife Mary, his daughter, Ceola and her husband, Don SHIPLEY, all of Troy; three grandsons: Jim RICHARDS and wife Jackie of Springfield, Va., John CREECH and his wife Janet of Florissant and Mike CREECH and his wife Jeannie, of Troy; four great-grandchildren Brian RICHARDS, Vickie CREECH, Don CREECH and Kelly Jean CREECH; three sisters: Mrs. Myrtle PIERCE; Laura and husband Homor COX and Lela and her husband Ray REEDS; one brother, Avery CREECH and his wife Clara; his brother Henry's wife Elsie CREECH, his brother Lawrence's wife, Emma CREECH, and his brother Edgar's wife Clara CREECH, a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

Mr. CREECH was the manager of the Kuhne Bros. Farms for over 20 years. He later worked for Fred Mears Heel Co., and when retired, he was working for the Gossard Garment Co.

As a young man , he professed his faith in Christ and became a member of the Old Aexandria Methodist Church. He later became a member of the Troy Holiness Church and was a very active member.

Funeral services were held for Mr. CREECH at 2 o'clock Friday, Nov. 18, 1977 from the Troy Holiness Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. D. L. Goins. Mrs. D. L. Goins was the organist and Lester Schloeman was the soloist. Burial was in Old Alexndria Cem. Troy, Mo.. Casket bearers were J.T.Mozier, Homor Moizer, Arthur Schemmer, James Zumwalt and Herman Wegener. Arrangements through the Kemper- Mars Funeral Home of Troy.
