Obituary for Willie Cappel (1899-1983)

Willie James CAPPEL was born July 2,1899 at Moscow Mills, the daughter of Toni and Maggie HILL MILLER.

She passed away at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital September 17, 1983 at the age of 84 years 2 months and 15 days.

She was married to Clarence Raymond CAPPEL August 22, 1921 and to this union were born, Kenneth and Billy Bob.

Preceding her in death were her mother, father, and husband, Clarence.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth of St. Louis, and Billy Bob of Moscow Mills; two daughters-in-law, Anita and Billy Jean; six grandchildren, Tim CAPPEL and wife, Mary Lou, Ralph CAPPEL and wife, Belinda, Brian CAPPEL and wife, Laura, Kenny CAPPEL, Sue CAPPEL, Larry CAPPEL and wife, Melinda, Terry CAPPEL and wife, Marge; six great-grandchildren, one brother, Claude WILSON and wife, Audrey; five sisters, Lena CAPPEL, Juanita CAPPEL, Lena HARRELL and husband, Jess, Eda HARRELL and husband, Dean, Lucille HILL and husband, Lewie, plus a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

Willie was born and raised in Moscow Mills and spent all her married life with her husband, Clarence and two sons.

Willie was a member of Moscow United Methodist Church, Owen Olive Club, Ladies Aide of Moscow Mills Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors.

She was a woman of simple taste and desires and the happiest times of her life were spent as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be sadly missed by her family and all that knew her.

Funeral services were held September 19 at the Moscow Mills United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Gross and Rev. Lester Zacher officiating. Burial was in the Troy City Cemetery. McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
