Obituary

Howard Lowell CANNON was one of eleven children born to Charles Tully and Addie May BROYLES CANNON . He was born March 3, 1912 on a farm west of Foley, Mo. where he was raised to manhood. At the age of 66 years, one month and two days, he passed away at the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy, Mo. on April 5,1978.

Preceding him in death were his parents: three sisters, Florence McCLAY who died in 1965, Lillie HAERTLIEN who died in 1955, and Goldie Arlene who died in infancy, three brothers, Walter E. who died in 1961, Arthur, who died in 1971, and Sterling who died in infancy. He is survived by four sisters: Nellie WHITE of Mexico, Mo., Ruby FORD of St. Louis, Ruth KELLER of Winfield and Margaret BOOLOODIAN of Winfield. He also leaves several nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law and so many, many friends and other relatives.

For a good many years, Howard has been taking care of the yard work for many people in the community and he also was care taker for several cemeteries in the area. After the death of his father in 1955 he continued to live with his mother and care for her until her death in 1966.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 8 at Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, rev. Jim Daniels officiating. Burial in the Corinth Cemetery Foley, MO.
