Norma C. BUENAMANN, 71, Blue Springs, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 1998, at the Medical Center of Independence, after a long illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 21, at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Blue Springs Chapel.  Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association.

Norma was born December 11, 1926, in Kansas City, MO, to Steven and Cletus REX. She moved with her family to Independence, MO, when she was a child. She graduated from Wm.Chrisman High School in 1943.

She married Hugh BUENEMANN on September 9, 1948, in Independence. Her husband’s career took them to many Midwestern cities: Omaha, Des Moines, and Broken Arrow, OK, where she did volunteer work at the local hospital. For the past 13 years, she had been a resident of Blue Springs, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Cletus REX; brother, Buford REX; and sisters, Louise HUFFMAN and Buelah JONES.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh BUENEMANN, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Richard STEWART, Las Vegas, NV; daughter Janet LONG; and grandchildren, Marty and Cara.
