OBITUARY

The home was broken when the angels came at 12:40 a.m. on Dec. 28,1954, to claim our beloved husband and father, Forest BRISCOE, son of Haden and Ollie BROYLES BRISCOE. He was born near Briscoe, Mo. Sep. 4,1893 and at the time of his passing was 61 years, 3 months, 24 days. On Dec. 9,1938 he was united in marriage to Dale ULERY..... He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Ada, Marie and Addie, also two brothers, Grover and Otis and leaves behind to mourn his departure: his beloved wife and three step children: Edwin ULERY, of Collinsville, IL., Virginia GUTMANN, of St. Louis, and William ULERY of St. Louis, and their families which includes eight grandchildren. He also leaves five sisters, Aggie, now Mrs. Wesley BROWN, of Briscoe, Mo., Gladys, now Mrs. Oscar GERRINGER, of Troy, Emma, now Mrs. Frank GRAVES of Detroit , Mich., one brother, Cecil BRISCOE, of Briscoe; six brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law; ten nephews and eight neices; several cousins and many many friends.

Funeral services were held from the McCoy Funeral Home to the Briscoe Union Church on Dec. 30,1954, at 2:00 p.m. by his friend, Rev. John Golden. Six of his nephews served as pallbearers and the remains were laid to rest in the Briscoe Cemetery.
