The funeral service for William Dreon BOCKHORST of Lincoln County, a farmer and former member of the Missouri Soil Conservation Commission, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church of Troy, West Boone Street. Burial will be in the Troy City Cemetery.
Mr. BOCKHORST died of cancer Tuesday at his home in Troy. He was 52.
Mr. BOCKHORST was chairman of the Lincoln County Youth Fair Board, president of the Lincoln County Farm Bureau and was a member of the Lincoln County Soil and Water District.
He was an Army veteran.
He was an elder, a deacon and the Sunday School superintendent at the First Christian Church of Troy.
Surviving are his wife, LaVerne BOCKHORST of Troy; two sons, William Dreon BOCKHORST Jr. and Walter BOCKHORST, both of Troy; a step-son, LaVerne THOMPSON Jr. of Troy; two stepdaughters, Jeanette LINDSLEY of St. Louis and Joan HERNDON of Wright City; his parents, Elmer and Margaret BOCKHORST of Troy; one sister, Mary VAN AKER of Lamar, Mo.; three brothers, Lee, Michael and Sam BOCKHORST, all of Troy; and two grandchildren.
