Obituary for K. Elizabeth (Crume) Allen (1819-1897)
The Troy Free Press (Troy, Lincoln Co., MO) 10 December 1897.

Mrs. K. Elizabeth ALLEN died last Saturday, November 28 1897, at the home of George SITTON, north of Elsberry, at the advanced age of 78 years, 2 months and 24 days.

Deceased was born to John D CRUME and Jane KIRKHAM in Nelson County, Ky. September 9 1819, but had resided in Lincoln County, Missouri since she was eleven years of age. She was united in marriage to Cary ALLEN August 31 1837, who predeceased her January 25 1857. Mrs. ALLEN is survived by six children, Mrs. Adelaide SITTON, Charlie ALLEN, Mrs. Susan KIRKHAM, Mrs. Kate COX, William ALLEN, and Mrs. Fannie WATSON.

She was a consistent member of the Baptist church and leaves a large number of kindred and friends to mourn her death.
