From the family archives of Russell M. Reid, Louisville, KY.
Mrs. Jane (Sis) Alexander, Brussels, Mo. Wife of Mr. J. J. Alexander, fell asleep
February 26th, 1886, aged 32 years and 5 months. She was a member of Mt. Zion
congregation, and in every relation of life was an humble, devoted, single-hearted
Christian woman. Her adorning was "the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is,
in the sight of God, of great price." A husband and two children, one an infant,
remain to cherish her memory, to be left motherless at such a tender age is seemingly a
great affliction. But these little ones are left to the care of a covenant-keeping God.
