Obituary for Callie Albers (1893-1980)

Callie ALBERS was born near Moscow Mills, Mo., May 10, 1893, the daughter of Hanon and Victoria POWELSON. She passed away March 25, 1980 in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital at the age of 86 years 10 months and 15 days.
On February 24, 1914 she was married to John Thomas ALBERS. They were the parents of seven children: five boys and two girls. She was the last of a family of ten children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and a son Ralph.
Mrs. ALBERS is survived by two daughters: Bernice of Durango, Old Mexico and Marjorie and husband, Ray THORN; four sons, Elmer and wife Ethel, Warren and wife Virginia, Percy and wife Gail and Billy Bob and wife Betty, all of the St. Louis area; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Viola POWELSON, Moscow Mills, Oma POWELSON, Elsberry and Nora POWELSON, Evansville, Ind., a number of neices, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were held March 27 from the McCoy-Paul Funeral Home, Rev. Richard COMBS of Columbia, Mo. officiating. Mrs. Pam HALL was the organist and Mrs. Joyce GILLIPSIE the vocalist. The pallbearers were grandsons:Duke ALBERS, Keith ALBERS, Greg ALBERS, Barry WESTON, and Don BOWLING. Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery.
