ADELE “DEL” ADAMS
Funeral services fo Adele “Del” Adams
Of Whiteside, Mo., were held at 2 p.m.,
Sunday, Aug. 3, at Whiteside Presbyterian
Church. The Rev. Jack Banton and Jim
Williams officiated. Burial followed in the
Auburn Presbyterian Cemetery, Elsberry,
Vicki Lageman sang “He’ll Understand and
Say Well Done” and Sharon Jepsen sang “An
Eagle When She Flys.” They sang a duet
“Because He Lives.”
A tribute from the family was given by
Clinton Wright.
Mrs. Adams, 87, died Wednesday, July 30,
2003, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
She was a homemaker and was a 50 year
member of the Eastern Star, Communion
Steward at Whiteside Presbyterian Church
and a charter member of Whiteside Extension Club.
Survivors include one son, Alvin “Junior” Adams
and his wife, Rosie, of Eolia; three daughters,
LaVerne and her husband, Bob Wright of Eolia;
Melba and husband, Ben Houston of Elsberry;
and Nadine and husband, Paul Krieg, of Troy.
Visitation was held Saturday Aug. 2 from 4 to
8 p.m., at McCoy and Blossom Funeral Home
in Troy and Sunday from l to 2 p.m., at Whiteside
Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to the Whiteside Presbyterian
Church, Whiteside Schoolhouse or Clopton Alumni
Memorial Scholarship fund in care of the McCoy &
