Mumford Cemetery

The only Gravestone still standing in this little family cemetery is the one for William Henry Mumford. It is a military marker for service in the 49th Missouri Infantry (Union). He died in 1876 - 1879. There are traces of other graves there. I suspect those of his children, James Thomas Mumford (d. 1873) and Nancy A. Mumford (d. 1876) account for two of those.
