Located west of New Hope, Mo.  A part of Survey 1674 Twp 50 N. Range 1 E. of the

5th P.M.(1) one acre embracing the cemetery and a road or passway from the cemetery 

north of the old New Hope and Troy public road, which has heretofore been deeded to 

the heirs of Ephraim and Rebecca J. DAVIS (deceased).  Recorded at the Court House, 

Troy, Mo.

Many slaves buried in lower section of cemetery, some marked with fieldstone.



This cemetery is in excellent condition as it has recently been completely 

rehabilitated by the DAVIS heirs. Cemetery first used about 1835.



       Census taken 1978.



In this cemetery are the following ancestors of William L. DOUGLAS, Jr.:

grandfather Madison A. DAVIS, gr-grandfather Ephraim DAVIS Jr., gr-gr-grandfather 

Ephraim DAVIS Sr., grandmother Annie E. (CALBREATH) DAVIS, gr-grandmother Rebecca 

Jane (LUCKETT) DAVIS, gr-gr-grandmother Betsy (STALLARD) DAVIS.
